Hello and welcome to Kennel Puckings homepage.

Here you get a presentation of Kennel Puckings and the breeder Alf Memner. At the end of this presentation you get a translation with an explanation to the content behind the buttons for choosing different pages.

I was born in 1947, my interest in dogs were great already as a child. I bought my first dog in 1959, a male German Shepard named Alo. My membership in the Swedish Working Dog Club began in 1960, and it was about this time I started to learn about the basics in obedience.

My first female German Shepard I got in 1967, Puck, and it was after her the kennel was named Kennel Puckings. Puck was a good dog, both as an exterior dog and as a working dog.

In 1968 she was mated with Bandit v. Lierberg, he was then in Denmark. I was very impressed of the brothers Bernd and Bodo v. Lierberg, but to me Bandit was the one that was closest to Sweden.

If we look back in history, one might say that the Lierberg B-litter has had great importance for the breeding of working dogs in the whole world. To me it is the best litter throughout times.

The litter with Bandit and Puck was for me a success, even though I only got one female puppy, named Azora. Azora have in her litters a lot of successful working dogs, which have become Swedish and Norwegian Champions in protection work. With Azoras daughters in my continued breeding we are now in the seventh generation of the "Puck strain".

During the70´s and the 80´s my breeding was not larger than that the female dogs I used in breeding mainly were females I competed with.
Of the dogs from my breeding that have become Champions (about 30), 21 come from the "Puck strain".

During the 90's we have had more litters per year then we have had earlier. We have also bought in some "new" dogs. For example, the son of Fero v. Zeutener Himmelreich - Arry v. Schloss Zwiebrüggen, the Bundessieger 1991 - Brix v. Kapfwald and a daughter of Fero v. Zeutener Himmelreich - Resi v. Nesselbach. Resi is the mother of the World Championship number 3 in 1996 - Vina v. Nesselbach.

My interest in training protection dogs (in German, schutzhund) started in my young years and it is still as great as ever. I became an approved protection figurant in 1971 and judge for working trials in 1973.

I see it as a great profit for my breeding that I by myself have competed with many of the female dogs I have used in my breeding.

A goal for my breeding is to breed German Shepards with natural inherited traits for all sorts of work.

We always give our buyers of puppies the right to exchange the bought dog against a new puppy or the money back if your not satisfied with the dog before it is two years old.

Besides my membership in the Swedish German Shepards Club.  I also a member in the Danish German Shepard Club and the German German Shepard Club. I have been a member in the Verein für Deutsche Schäeferhunde since 1971, as a breeder it is necessary to be "up to date" with what's going on in the mother country of the German Shepard.

Here you get a translation and an explanation to the different buttons that you choose pages with.
